General Industries, Inc. has been a leader in tank manufacturing since 1954 with customers located in the US and globally. At General Industries we have the technology and AutoCAD capability with our engineering staff to draw up each specification and submit a final document for manufacturing.

Our Facility

Our facility consists of a 70,000 square-foot metal fabrication shop where skilled welders transform coiled steel into cylindrical or rectangular atmospheric vessels, sandblasting and coating each tank to the standard or specification that meets your application. Our in-house shipping department accommodates each job with safe and dependable deliveries upon request.

Our aboveground tanks consist of

  • UL-142® Single and Double Wall Horizontals or Verticals, Fireguard®, Flameshield®, Open and Closed Top Dikes, Oil/Water Separators, Double Wall and Fire Protected Generator Sub-Bases, Aviation, Motor Fuel, and Mobile Fueling Systems; our underground tanks consist of Single and Double Wall STI-P3®, ACT-100® and ACT-100U®, PERMATANK®, General and AquaSweep™ Oil/Water Separators.

Depending upon application, tank capacities range from 270 to 50,000 gallons. Accessories are available.

Standards and Compliance

General Industries, Inc. complies with the following standards: Underwriters Laboratories, Steel Tank Institute, Petroleum Equipment Institute, Southwest Research Institute and National Fire Protection Association with the following labels: UL-142, UL-58, UL-1746, UL-2085, UL-2215, SWRI, STI-F-911, STI-F-921, API-650, API-620, AWWA D100 & D102, UBC & IBC.
